Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking an Echocardiography technologist to perform daily clinical operations, including echocardiograms and preliminary interpretations. The role requires operating specialized equipment and timely communication of technical and patient care information.

Required credentials include an associate's degree in Allied Health or Applied Science, RDCS/RCS/ACS registration (or ability to obtain within 12 months), and BLS. Preferred ACLS and 1+ year of experience are noted.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree – Allied Health or Applied Science from an accredited cardiac sonographer program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or Advanced Cardiac Registered (ACR) — or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily clinical operations of Echocardiography, including performing Echocardiograms and entering preliminary interpretation.
• Operate equipment necessary to obtain optimal diagnostic recordings.
• Communicate technical and patient care information according to established processes and timelines.
