Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform echocardiography procedures, obtain quality diagnostic recordings, and provide preliminary interpretations in collaboration with the cardiology team. Requirements include an accredited associate degree in Allied Health or Applied Science, RDCS/RCS/ACS or eligible within 12 months, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Allied Health or Applied Science from an accredited cardiac sonographer program.
• RDCS or RCS or ACS certification, or eligibility to obtain one within 12 months.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily echocardiography including obtaining high-quality diagnostic recordings.
• Enter preliminary interpretation and communicate results per protocols.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and ensure optimal image quality.

Description

Perform daily clinical operations of Echocardiography including performing Echocardiograms, entering preliminary interpretation. Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording. Communicates technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines.

Requirements

• Associate's degree – Allied Health or Applied Science (accredited cardiac sonographer program).
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or
• Advanced Cardiac Registered (ACS), or the ability to obtain one of these registries within 12 months of employment.
• BLS

Preferred:

• ACLS
• 1+ year
