Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training from an accredited cardiac sonography program is required.
• Credentials: RDCS or RCS; RDCS preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong computer, verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients using two forms of ID and explain testing procedure.
• Review medical history and guide exam based on information.
• Perform cardiac diagnostic imaging, including 2D and Doppler modalities.
• Calculate cardiac parameters and interpret results with cardiologists.
• Operate stress testing equipment when necessary and assist during procedures.
• Ensure reports are directed to Cardiologists and monitor turnaround times.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to Clinical Engineering.
