Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform adult echo, TEE and stress echo in a high-volume cardiology imaging lab at Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix.

You will collaborate with physicians, support accurate diagnoses, and contribute to a fast-paced team focused on delivering quality patient care. This role requires 1–2 years of clinical experience and active ARDMS/CCI certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program.
• ARDMS or CCI Cardiac Sonographer certification; uncertified but eligible must obtain within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders.
• Oversees echocardiographic services, ensuring quality of performance and protocol adherence.
• Maintains equipment quality control and safety standards.
• Provides patient education regarding procedures; ensures professional conduct and teamwork.
• Delivers high-quality images and preliminary findings to supervising physicians and Cardiologists.
• Acts as clinical/technical expert in Cardiac Sonographic Imaging and trains staff and students.
