Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiographic examinations per orders.
• Acquire adult cardiac ultrasound images of high quality.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment.
• Evaluate cardiac structures and function using imaging.
• Document measurements and labeling for interpretation by cardiologists.
• Assist with specialized cardiac studies and procedures as required.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with policies.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Cardiac Sonographer. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Lawrenceville, GA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $62 - $64/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic echocardiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Conduct adult cardiac ultrasound studies, obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment safely and efficiently.
• Evaluate cardiac structures, function, and blood flow using appropriate imaging techniques.
• Ensure accurate measurements, image labeling, and documentation for interpretation by cardiologists.
• Assist with specialized cardiac studies and procedures as required.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow departmental policies and quality standards.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience within the specialty.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• RVT certification required.
• Must hold an appropriate echocardiography credential:
• RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from ARDMS
• RCS/RCCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer / Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer from CCI
• CRCS – Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer from Sonography Canada
• Client – Advanced Cardiac Sonographer from CCI
