Job summary

Mercy Heart Hospital in Springfield, MO is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Heart Hospital team. You will provide professional nursing care, perform patient assessments, monitor conditions, assist physicians, administer medications, and document in the electronic health record.

Day shift, full-time; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
Basic computer and electronic medical record skills.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care and patient assessments.
Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs.
Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care.
Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Respond effectively to urgent and emergent patient situations.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment.
