Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac unit to provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. You will apply therapeutic communication, ensure a safe environment, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

In this role you will administer medications, monitor vital signs, document patient status in the computerized system, and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care plan.

Qualifications

• RN with Tennessee licensure and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds and monitor vitals.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
