Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 6 months healthcare experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac rhythm management device evaluation via device interrogation and reprogramming guided by guidelines; documents findings and communicates information.
• Programs device parameters for safe operation and patient needs.
• Notifies supervisor/doctor of suspected device malfunctions, replacements, or arrhythmias.
• Applies technical knowledge to minimize device-related symptoms and complications.
• Monitors patients with devices under advisory or recall and educates families as needed.
• Utilizes PaceArt database for patient/device tracking, scheduling, billing and documentation of follow-up.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Uses effective communication with patients and families to ensure cooperation with device follow-up.
• Answers patient calls and requests in a timely manner.
• Maintains patient charts and department data; provides information as required.
• Maintains current knowledge and pursues professional growth.
