Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Northwest Florida and south Alabama seeks an EP Technician to acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of cardiac device therapies under physician supervision.

You will educate patients, assist with device interrogation and programming, document results, and maintain equipment and records. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with at least 6 months of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Educates patients regarding procedures and device follow-up.
• Maintains documentation of patient information and device data.
• Communicates patient concerns to physicians and collaborates on care.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate cardiac rhythm management devices and reprogram as needed.
• Program device parameters for safety, longevity, and patient needs.
• Notify supervisors of suspected device malfunctions or recalls.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and patient charts.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure cooperation with follow-up.
