Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced supervisor for the Cardiology Department. The role oversees daily operations, staffing, and workflow while ensuring high-quality patient care and proper equipment maintenance.

The candidate will perform all stress technician duties, manage scheduling, and support budget and performance improvement initiatives. ACLS/BLS certification and a minimum of 3 years in Cardiology are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Three+ years of progressive experience in Cardiology; supervisor experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills; life support certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Cardiology Department daily operations including patient booking, staff scheduling, and workflow control.
• Directs staff in diagnostic procedures and ensures technical quality of care and equipment maintenance.
• Performs all functions of a stress technician and supports interpretation of data for reading Cardiologist.
• Interviews, hires, orients, trains, and evaluates Cardiology staff; ensures annual competency and timely evaluations.
• Assists in budgeting and payroll for Cardiology employees; participates in Performance Improvement programs.
