Job summary

Trinity Health Hospital Campus in Minot, ND is seeking an RN for a Cardiac Rehab program to deliver specialized nursing care, perform assessments, and tailor exercise and education plans for patients recovering from cardiac events.

The role involves monitoring vitals and cardiac rhythms during supervised sessions, coordinating with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, and supporting self-management to improve cardiovascular outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current ND RN license or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification required within orientation period.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Certification as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional, or Certified Pulmonary Rehab Professional is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care and exercise plans tailored to patients recovering from cardiac or pulmonary events.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient tolerance during rehabilitation sessions, intervening promptly when clinical changes arise.
• Provide education on lifestyle modification, medication adherence, symptom awareness, and safe activity progression to support long-term health.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the program manager and interdisciplinary team to evaluate program outcomes, implement quality-improvement activities, and enhance patient engagement.
• Assist with maintaining equipment, ensuring a safe rehabilitation environment, and supporting workflow efficiency within the rehab unit.
