Job summary

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE seeks a Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse to guide patients through cardiac recovery with critical education and support. Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN nursing program.
• Registered Nurse (NE) license on hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) on hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support on hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to inpatient and outpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation participants; coordinates care with the physician.
• Develops individualized treatment plans of care and updates; submits to physician for signature every 30 days.
• Provides patient/family education on risk factors and lifestyle modifications for cardiopulmonary disease.
• Supervises cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation exercise training and educational sessions.
• Collaborates with health care team; triages emergent/non-emergent cases as needed.
• Interprets cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation; assesses signs of exercise intolerance, ischemia or hypoxia.
