Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate cardiac rehabilitation for both inpatients and outpatients. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. BLS/ACLS are required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates all exercise and educational components of cardiac rehabilitation for both inpatient and outpatient.
• Performs routine exercise treatments and related patient care support as per plan of care.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to assess, monitor and adjust activities for optimal patient care.
• Documents patient progress and responses to treatments and plans of care.
