Job summary

US Heart & Vascular in Houston, TX seeks a Cardiac Exercise Technician to join the Orion Medical team. The EP leads exercise interventions within the Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program and collaborates with physicians and staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes assessment, prescription, monitoring, patient education, and adherence to regulatory standards while supporting cardiovascular health and lifestyle modification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related health science field.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one year of experience in cardiac rehabilitation or related cardiovascular services.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized exercise prescriptions.
• Monitor telemetry during exercise sessions and document findings.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular risk reduction and lifestyle modification.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, AACVPR, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in program quality improvement and safety protocols.
