Ascension Health in Kyle, TX is seeking a PRN Day Cardiac Rehab therapist to provide patient testing, exercise planning, and education. You will monitor patients, adjust plans as needed, and ensure safe exercise with attention to contraindications and responses.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a BLS certification within 30 days and ACSM credentials preferred. Retirement plans and comprehensive wellbeing support are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACSM Exercise Physiologist credential preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient testing and assessment before rehabilitation.
• Plans and teaches exercise therapy using test data and current medications; monitors response.
• Recognizes contraindications and abnormal responses; responds to all situations including cessation and referral.
• Provides exercise information to patients, peers, and community; may include public speaking and classes.
• Maintains department equipment; prepares and maintains files, records, and reports; schedules appointments.
• Oversees department activities in the manager's absence.
