Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiac Rehabilitation department in Pensacola, FL. The position offers a day, part-time schedule within a renowned health system.

You will conduct pre- and post-rehabilitation testing, create individualized exercise plans, monitor responses, and educate patients and staff while helping maintain equipment and scheduling in the absence of the manager.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Exercise Physiologist credential from ACSM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-rehabilitation testing to evaluate patient capacity and design customized exercise therapy.
• Monitor patient responses during exercise and cease activity if adverse reactions occur.
• Provide evidence-based physical activity education to patients, peers, and community.
• Maintain department equipment and manage patient records, scheduling, and operational oversight in the manager's absence.
