Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia UVA Community Health seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist - Reg to lead patients in cardiac rehabilitation, and to develop and adjust exercise prescriptions based on medical history and patient needs. The role collaborates with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science or Exercise Physiology, ACSM certification, and at least one year in a hospital/clinic

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in relevant field.
• ACSM exercise-related certification required.
• 1 year hospital/clinic experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise exercise and modify prescriptions for cardio-pulmonary patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead patients in all disciplines of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
• Formulate and modify exercise prescriptions based on medical history.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support care.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to policies.
