Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist to deliver age-appropriate, patient-centered care within the cardiac rehabilitation program. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized exercise prescriptions and goal-oriented care plans.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, orientation, supervising sessions, patient education, and documenting progress in EPIC and Scott Care while upholding confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
• Certifications required upon hire.
• Experience with cardiac, geriatric, and diabetic patients preferred.
• Knowledge of EKG, blood pressure, and glucose monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assess modifiable risk factors and support therapeutic lifestyle changes.
• Participate in initial assessment and orientation of new participants.
• Develop and adjust individualized exercise prescriptions per ACSM/AACVPR guidelines.
• Supervise exercise sessions and monitor responses to exercise.
• Document patient responses in EPIC and Scott Care and maintain confidentiality.
