Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist to support cardiac rehabilitation programs and facilitate patient fitness and risk-factor modification. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized therapy plans and ensure safe execution of interventions, including education on lifestyle changes and telehealth options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, exercise science or equivalent is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• ACLS certification is required or preferred per hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using history, diagnosis and medical status.
• Develop and document treatment plans for rehabilitation.
• Perform exercise testing and prescribe safe exercise programs.
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on exercise, safety and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain and document patient progress and outcomes in medical records.
