Job summary

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital is seeking a qualified cardiac rehabilitation professional to deliver comprehensive Phase I–III rehab services. You will develop and supervise exercise prescriptions, educate patients, and participate in program activities to advance cardiovascular care. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field, with possibilities for a master’s degree.

BLS is required; ACLS preferred. A strong internship or 2+ years in rehab is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• ECG interpretation experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience or 600-hour clinical internship in cardiac rehab may be required.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS certification is preferred (may be required at specific sites).
• ACSM or AACVPR certification within 1 year of employment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of phases I-III cardiac rehabilitation and develop exercise prescriptions.
• Create educational materials and educate cardiac rehab patients and others referred to the program.
• Plan and participate in events, research, internships, and program improvement initiatives.
• Supervise cardiac stress tests and ensure reliable data collection.
• Provide services such as EECP and holter/event monitor placement.
