Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System's Genesis Hospital in Ohio seeks an Exercise Physiology Therapist to join our Cardiac Rehab team. This full-time role covers varied shifts and focuses on functional capacity assessment, exercise training, risk factor management, health education, and psychosocial support for patients.

You will assist with case management of multidisciplinary plans, train RN staff on exercise principles, and contribute to program development including telemetry and AED considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an allied health field or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and strong patient-focused approach.
• Ability to provide patient care in a warm, friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a broad range of cardiac rehab services and assessments.
• Evaluate initial exercise tolerance and progression readiness.
• Support case management of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Educate patients on risk factors, health education, and lifestyle changes.
• Provide guidance to nursing staff on exercise principles.
• Recommend equipment upgrades and telemetry/AED usage.
• Serve as a resource for staff and community on cardiac health.
