Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Exercise Physiologist 2 for its East Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The role provides direct patient education and develops treatment plans within an outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation context.

You will conduct assessments, supervise EKG stress testing, educate participants, and coordinate care with clinicians while ensuring follow-up and program adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation preferred.
• Healthcare and/or risk reduction programs with clinical skill base and familiarity with telemetric monitoring required.
• Must display highly refined skills in interpersonal communication, organization, program planning, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical assessments and treatment plans according to established protocols for outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab.
• Plans, implements, evaluates, and modifies programs for participants in outpatient rehab.
• Preforms EKG stress testing on Cardiac Rehab patients and firefighters with documentation in the EMR.
• Educates program participants and staff in prevention and rehabilitation process to better understand condition and plan of care.
• Maintains appropriate follow‑up of patients.
• Participates in performance initiatives.
• Manages patient admissions and charge entry, ensures cleanliness of the treatment space.
• Communicates with patients, families, management, staff, and physicians.
