Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System in New Jersey is seeking a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit RN to join our Magnet-designated team. You will assess patients, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based treatment.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families on the plan of care, and prepare them for discharge, while complying with NJ Board of Nursing standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within 3 years
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS/ECG/CC course completed during orientation

Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multidisciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to health team members to ensure proper care per NJ Board of Nursing and policies.
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge and health maintenance at home.

The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit RN will:

• Assess the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of care in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures.
• Teach patient/significant others about health/illness state and plan of care.
• Ensure that patient/significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• Critical Care course completed during clinical orientation

Salary Range:47.00 - 62.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
