Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit Clinical Coordinator RN to coordinate resources and activities and ensure high-quality patient care for adults and geriatrics.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, ECG, and CC course within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred with a minimum of 3 years in a related specialty. Fulltime position with competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in New Jersey.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation.
• ECG course completed during orientation.
• Critical Care course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination of resources and activities.
• Interact with Hospital Departments to initiate, coordinate and maintain optimum patient care for Adults and Geriatrics.
• Actively promote customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
• Ensure all procedures meet established standards and NJ Board of Nursing requirements.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Report significant changes, incidents, or personnel problems.
• Be responsible for unit orientation of new/agency staff.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in staff development and growth.
• Maintain knowledge of Nursing Quality Improvement activities on the assigned shift.
• Provide other essential functions as directed by the manager.

The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit Clinical Coordinator RN will:

• Provide coordination of resources and activities.
• Interact with all Hospital Departments to initiate, coordinate and maintain optimum patient care as appropriate to the ages of the patient’s growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adults, Geriatrics).
• Actively promote customer satisfaction as well as a positive work environment.
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established standards; demonstrates competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice, in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adults, Geriatrics) and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care activities considering growth and development factors appropriate to the age (Adults, Geriatrics) in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Report any significant changes in the condition of the Unit, any incidents and/or personnel problems.
• Be responsible for Unit orientation of new employees and/or float/agency employees.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in planning for and implementing mechanisms to encourage growth and development of staff.
• Maintain knowledge of and is responsible for Nursing Quality Improvement activities on assigned shift.
• Provide other essential functions as directed by the manager.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• Critical Care course within 6 months of hire

Salary Range:50.30 - 80.48 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
