Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse I (RN I) for the NURSING FLOAT department. The RN I will perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, while leading and coordinating patient education and quality/safety initiatives.

Regular duties include documentation and time management with a focus on teamwork. Commitment to annual competencies, continued education and professional practice development is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in applying the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and team members.
• Demonstrates professional conduct, leadership and time management within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned population using established nursing processes.
• Coordinate patient teaching, safety initiatives and collaboration with health team members.
