AP Health in Nashville, TN is looking for a Physician Assistant – Cardiac Surgery to function as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience, a valid Tennessee state license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. AP Health is a private practice of advanced practice providers offering perioperative services to hospitals, surgeons, and surgery centers. We partner with facilities to provide high‑quality service line coverage with experienced Advanced Practice Providers who assist in surgery.

What will you do:

• Function as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room
• Position and drape the patient under the direction of the surgeon
• Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
• Conduct comprehensive and problem‑focused histories and physical examinations
• Participate in daily inpatient rounds in ICU and step‑down units
• Provide rotating weekend and night CVOR coverage

What do you need:

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assistant
• Experience taking independent call
• Current Tennessee state license or active first‑assistant certification
• Board certification by NCCPA
• Active BLS and ACLS certification
