Job summary

Posterity Group is staffing the Richmond VA Healthcare System with a Board Certified Perfusionist. The role requires supporting complex cardiac procedures, including CPB, IABP management, and ECMO-related duties, with collaboration from cardiothoracic surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The perfusionist will be responsible for physiologic monitoring, hemodynamic stability, and extracorporeal support across varied procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology.
• Minimum two years of experience as a perfusionist.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical perfusion services for cardiopulmonary bypass and related support.
• Collaborate with Cardio/Thoracic Surgeon and Anesthesiologist to deliver in-house perfusion care.
• Monitor physiologic parameters and ensure hemodynamic stability during complex surgeries.
• Manage extracorporeal circulation, blood components, and anticoagulation as required.
• Support management of devices such as IABP and ventricular assist devices as needed.
