Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills in San Antonio is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The RN will apply the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN preferred, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Meets competencies using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Addresses complex psychosocial and cultural needs of patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care independently and in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors outcomes and side-effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; identifies learning needs and resources.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
