Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a 24-bed Critical Care Unit focused on cardiac, thoracic and vascular care. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes critical care experience, acute setting proficiency, and adherence to ACLS/CPR protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in WA at time of hire.
• 1–2 years med/surg experience or senior practicum in CCU/ICU.
• WA RN license required at hire; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required; quarterly RQI competency training.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention.
• Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac-related infusions at higher doses.
• Initiates and titrates drips related to critical care DKA/HHS algorithms.
• Uses phenobarbital for CIWA patients.
