Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a competent RN to join our nursing team in a hospital setting in Texas. The role requires independent practice with focus on patient care, education, and clinical decision-making.

Shifts are 3 days of 12 hours each, full-time, with emphasis on safety, thorough documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. BLS and ACLS certifications, plus an RN license (state or compact) are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
