Job summary

Christiana Care Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the Cardiac Surgical team under RN supervision. You will scrub on a wide range of procedures, handle instruments, and uphold aseptic technique while supporting safety and unit standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, graduation from a surgical technologist program, and at least 2 years of surgical tech experience with CVOR exposure preferred. EEO-compliant employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (post-2009 hire).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• CVOR experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in scrub role across diverse procedures.
• Scrubs instruments/equipment and maintains aseptic technique.
• Adheres to safety rules and unit standards; communicates with team.
• Precepts new employees and participates in feedback to leadership.
• Collaborates with RN staff to plan care for patients of all ages.
• Maintains confidentiality and uses computers effectively.
