Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Cardiac Operating Room RN to join the CVOR team at Clements University Hospital. The role requires OR Circulator responsibilities, intraoperative nursing care, and collaboration with the surgical team.

This full-time position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, rotating orientation, and on-call duties. Education: NLN-approved program graduate; licensure in Texas or NLC, and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN approved nursing program.
• 1 year Operating Room RN experience.
• NLC Nursing Licensure Compact-BNE or Texas license or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient's health status during admission and intraoperative phase.
• Interprets data to plan and prioritize intraoperative nursing care.
• Performs intraoperative nursing interventions and documents them accurately.
• Delivers patient education and communicates with patient and family.
• Supervises and coordinates care among healthcare team members.
• Prepares for procedures by obtaining supplies and equipment.
