Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an Operating Room Circulator to join our surgical team. The RN will work under supervision to provide high‑quality intraoperative care and patient support within the OR environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of OR experience and a current Texas nursing license or approved compact license with BLS certification. ENT, Plastics, Transplant, Robotics, and related specialties are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN approved nursing program.
• 1 year Operating Room RN experience.
• Current Texas license or valid nursing compact license with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient health status on admission and intraoperative phase.
• Communicate health status data to the team and plan care accordingly.
• Develop and prioritize intraoperative nursing interventions.
• Provide patient education and document education provided.
• Supervise and coordinate care among healthcare team members.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures in a timely manner.
• Serve as resource and preceptor to nursing staff.
• Maintain cost-effective, high-quality intraoperative care.
