Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking a Cardiothoracic OR Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift with call. You will join a two-OR and hybrid-OR team, supporting CTOR cases from bypass to TAVR, with strong focus on sterile technique and teamwork.

The role requires an OR background, RN licensure, BLS, and CNOR when possible; BSN preferred. Benefits are comprehensive, with competitive compensation and call requirements within the Harrisonburg area.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree - Nursing Required
• BSN or MSN Preferred
• Registered Nurse Licensure
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• CNOR- Certified Nurse Operating Room Preferred
• 1 Year of Operating Room experience- general OR is accepted
• Previous Cardiac Operating Room Experience preferred
• Perioperative training
• Scrub and/or Circulator experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure in the cardiothoracic patient.
• Manage surgical instruments, maintain sterility and a sterile field, assist the surgeon by providing tools, perform surgical counts.
• Coordinate with the broader surgical team during open heart and thoracic cases; support complex bypass, valve, and transplant procedures.
