The Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, Mississippi, is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Nurse to join our cardiovascular care team. This role focuses on comprehensive cardiac patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting and emphasizes patient education and collaboration with cardiology specialists.

Ideal candidates hold an active Mississippi RN license with 1+ year of cardiac/telemetry ICU experience, BLS/ACLS, and ECG interpretation skills; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Mississippi.
• 1+ years of cardiac, telemetry, ICU, or step-down unit nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation.
• Cardiac Care Nursing Certification (CCRN or RN-BC) a plus.
• Qualifications required by Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care.
• Complete preauthorization for tests and procedures.
• Occasionally administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments per physician orders in clinic setting.
