Job summary

Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, MS is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Nurse to join our cardiovascular care team. You will document patient care in the EHR, collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Mississippi RN license, an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), 1+ year of cardiac/telemetry/ICU experience, BLS and ACLS, ECG

Qualifications

• Active Mississippi RN license
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• 1+ year of cardiac/telemetry/ICU/step-down nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills
• Cardiac Care Nursing Certification (CCRN or RN-BC) a plus
• Qualifications required by Memorial Hospital at Gulfport

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient documentation in EHR
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, medications, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge care
• Complete preauthorization for tests and procedures
• Occasionally administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments per physician orders in clinic setting
