Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to support cardiac patients across the care continuum. The APP partners with the health care team to optimize outcomes, coordinate care over time, and serve as a clinical leader and educator.

In this role, you will apply guideline-directed medical therapy, participate in discharge planning, and mentor APP students and new staff. Prescriptive privileges and compliance with Brown policies are required, with daily shifts in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Rhode Island or via nurse licensure compact
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant with board certification
• Current RI license, DEA license, BLS and ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality, cost-effective care for acute cardiac diseases using GDMT
• Demonstrates advanced cardiac knowledge in the acute care setting
• Performs history, exam, and interpretation of tests to plan care with the team
• Participates in discharge planning and interprofessional team-based care
• Ensures compliance with Brown University Health policies and procedures
• Participates in education, training and mentoring of APP students and new staff
