Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma is required.
• APR N or RN licensure is required.
• BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during shifts, noting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor response, and document care in the chart.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.

Skills

NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days
