Qualifications

• Must have NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma required.
• APRN or RN licensure required.
• CBLS Instructor certification within 30 days; ACLS Instructor within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, report changes.
• Administer medications and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition and treatment, translating complex terms.
