Job summary

Emanate Health in Glendora, CA is seeking a Monitor Tech to observe and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms, respond to alarms, and communicate variances to the RN. You will greet staff at the nurses' station and assist with basic unit duties related to admission, discharge and transfer.

This role supports non-clinical tasks, takes medication from pharmacy or tube station for the charge nurse, and helps organize activities at the nurses' station.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred.
• EKG interpretation class required.
• BLS certification required.
• Unit Secretarial course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets patients' cardiac rhythm status and relays variances to the RN.
• Greets staff at the nurses' station and answers questions or directs to appropriate staff.
• Transcribes medical orders and performs non-clinical unit duties related to admission, discharge and transfer.
