At Emanate Health Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, the Monitor Tech - ICU supports critical care by observing cardiac rhythms and notifying the RN of variances. You greet the nurses' station, transcribe orders, and handle non-clinical unit tasks related to admissions, discharges and transfers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS. Prior unit secretary experience and strong customer service are preferred; EKG interpretation

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
• EKG interpretation class required.

Mansioni

• Monitors and interprets patients' cardiac rhythm status and informs the RN of variances.
• Greets staff at the nurses' station and answers questions or refers to appropriate staff.
• Transcribes medical orders and performs unit-based non-clinical duties related to admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Organizes activities at the nurses' station and assists with patient medications from pharmacy to the nurse.
