Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit at Alton Memorial Hospital in East Alton, Illinois. This role focuses on cardiac-focused intermediate care with a 32-bed unit and 4–5 patient ratios, offering opportunities to grow clinical skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

Weekend option days are available (Two 12‑hour shifts, Sat/Sun, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM). Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and comprehensive benefits are included for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• RN license and nursing credentials required.
• Experience in intermediate or acutecare general nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient care plans for intermediate care unit patients.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure safety and quality of care.
