The position is part-time and hospital-based, with duties spanning rounds, orders, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, effective patient care and a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through an accredited association.
• Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, evidence‑based patient care for acute patients within an inpatient setting.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies to determine treatment plans.
• Institutes emergency measures, treatment, and stabilization for acute patient situations.
• Ensures appropriate documentation in the EMR to support medical coding and billing, and reports to the attending physician.
• Facilitates communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicates plans with the attending physician and participates in clinical decision‑making.
• Maintains continuing education and participates in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs hospital rounds, executes physician orders, and adheres to privileges and policy.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
