Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (AGACNP/ACNP or PA) for inpatient cardiac care. The APP collaborates with physicians to manage adult patients (18+) undergoing advanced heart procedures, including VADs, transplants, and valve surgeries.

The role emphasizes evidence‑based practice, documentation, and ongoing professional development. The position requires BLS/ACLS, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold AGACNP/ACNP or PA certification or license.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Experience in cardiac surgery post‑op care is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Obtain and document health history; perform focused examinations and plan of care.
• Provide care across primary, acute and complex conditions in collaboration with physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; manage patient data and documentation.
• Develop differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe pharmacologic, non‑pharmacologic, and surgical interventions as appropriate.
• Facilitate referrals and transitions between care settings as needed.
