Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver specialized cardiology care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The APP will focus on subspecialized care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Required credentials include FNP/AGACNP/ACNP or PA licensure, with strong preference for prior cardiology APP experience.

Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) required
• Prior Cardiology APP experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents health history and performs comprehensive exams with plan of care.
• Collaborates to provide primary, acute and complex care and manage patients’ outcomes.
• Orders, interprets and collects diagnostic data as indicated.
• Forms differential diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies to achieve outcomes.
• Uses evidence-based practice protocols in planning care.
• Initiates appropriate referrals and consultations.
• Provides specialty consultation within scope of practice and supports transitions between care settings.
