Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Minimum of six months of clinical experience as an RN.
• One year ICU/acute critical care experience preferred.
• Current TX RN license or Multi-State Compact; TX license within 90 days if needed.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing judgment using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Collaborate with care team and communicate with physicians using SBAR.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and maintain efficient patient flow.
• Document timely and accurately in the patient medical record.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and safety policies including AIDET and infection prevention.
