Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan seeks a highly skilled Registered Nurse for its Cardiac ICU. The role focuses on delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care in a 30-bed cardiovascular ICU with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and opportunities for educational advancement.

You will participate in nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and engage in unit initiatives while enjoying comprehensive benefits and staff development support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year of critical care experience as a licensed Registered Nurse preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
• Be accountable for delivering quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of nursing.
