HCA Healthcare's Methodist Hospital in San Antonio seeks a Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for cardiac patients, including post-transplant or post-surgical cases. The role emphasizes nursing judgment and collaborative care within the multidisciplinary team.

You will participate in rounds, maintain clear documentation, and uphold safety policies while supporting patient families and optimizing outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Minimum of six months of RN clinical experience.
• ICU/acute critical care experience preferred (1 year) or 2–3 years in an acute specialty.
• Current Texas RN license or multi-state compact license; must obtain Texas license within 90 days.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing judgment via the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Collaborate with care team and communicate with physicians using SBAR.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and maintain orderly flow; report errors.
• Document timely and complete nursing notes in the medical record.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and safety policies, including AIDET.
