Job summary

Methodist Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse for PRN opportunities. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with critical heart conditions, including post-transplant and post-bypass patients, in two-unit, 57-bed settings.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, 2–3 years in Cardiovascular ICU, and Texas RN licensure or a Multi-State Compact with Texas license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor).
• 2-3 years of Cardiovascular ICU/acute critical care experience.
• Texas RN license required (or Multi-State Compact); Texas license within 90 days of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in cardiovascular ICU.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team; use SBAR for handoffs.
• Document timely, accurate nursing care in the patient medical record.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and compliance with safety policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning.
