Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a PA or APRN for the CICU at 20 York Street, New Haven, CT. The role offers 12-hour rotating days/nights with a 40-hour schedule in a high-acuity cardiac ICU.

Responsibilities include assessment, triage, collaborative management, and thorough documentation with the multidisciplinary team. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PA/NP program and CT licensure; ACLS/BLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Experience in critical care settings, especially cardiac ICU, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, triage and therapeutic management in the CICU as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and other clinicians; follow state and hospital guidelines.
• Document thoroughly in the EPIC system per hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education activities.
• Support ongoing professional development and serve as a clinical resource for staff and learners.
